Welcome!

           Piwakawaka Class News

Welcome back to school!
I am really excited to be back teaching this year and to working with this year 2 and 3 class.  I was on maternity leave for 2011 with our first child, Carter.  Although some of you will recognise me from working in the senior end of the school I previously taught students from year 0 through to year 3 for 5 years.
Piwakawaka Class would like to say an extra big welcome to Khara Bouterey who has joined us for the first time.  We hope you have a great start to the year here in your new school!
We would also like to say Happy Birthday to James Richards who turned 8 in January!  Also coming up this month we wish both Morgan Barak who will be turning 6 and Hannah Scott who will be turning 7, a very special day for their birthdays!
Over this term we are going to be exploring the exciting topic of ‘The Spark of God’.  This will have lots of fun and inspiring activities through reading, writing, R.E. and art.
Swimming lessons will be in week three of this term (20th February - 24th February) so remember to pack togs and a towel every day!  Our swimming time is 11:30am at the ASB Aquatic Centre.  All other information you will need to know like ‘Library Day’, ‘P.E. Day‘ etc can be found on the accompanying ‘Welcome to Piwakawaka‘ sheet.
Lastly, I would like to say I hope you all have an enjoyable start to the term and if you have any questions please feel free to drop in and see me or email me at sarahj@stpauls-richmond.school.nz
Kind Regards,
Sarah Jeffries
