Swim Swim Swim!
The kids are really enjoying their swimming lessons this week! They are all doing a super job of walking to and from the pool, getting themselves changed and listening to their instructors. Very proud of them! Come and have a look if you get the chance, only two days left to watch.

Keeping Ourselves Safe
Here is one of the songs we like to sing as part of our 'Keeping Ourselves Safe' programme. Listen to our great singing!
Walking Tall
V1
I am awesome.
I have fun
I am brave and I can run
I can shine like the sun
Walking tall today
Chorus
I am awesome being me
I am who I’m meant to be
Everything goes well for me
Walking tall today
V2
I am awesome.
I am strong
Join me now and clap along
We can smile and sing our song
Walking tall today
Chorus
I am awesome being me
I am who I’m meant to be
Everything goes well for me
Walking tall today
Everything goes well for me
Walking tall today
Walking tall today
Everything goes well for me
Walking tall today

Solar Eclipse
Yesterday we saw a solar eclipse. A solar eclipse is when the moon goes in front of the sun. We had to wear special glasses to look at the solar eclipse. Scientists invented them to look at the sun. By Tyler
Yesterday there was a solar eclipse. We got to look at the sun. It looked like a Cookie Monster came and ate a whole chunk of it. The glasses were especially made for looking at the sun. By Jack
Yesterday at nine forty am Piwakawaka Class went out to the field to see a solar eclipse. We were lucky to see it. Some people never get to see it in their whole life. The solar eclipse is where the moon goes over the sun an makes a shadow on the earth. Scientists invented glasses that you can only look at the sun for 3 minutes or less. Weka Class bought them off TradeMe by a fundraiser. By Lucy
